Beautiful old house in the Alpujarra, Sapin

A very special house in Granaga, ready to move in, situated on the edge of a small Berber hamlet, in a green valley of the Alpujarra mountains, halfway between Granada and the Tropical Coast. It is one of the oldest houses of this historical area and features enormous stone walls, traditional chestnut beams and handmade terracotta floors. It was renovated with great care using natural and traditional materials, as well as many details brought back from Morocco, such as carved wooden doors, handcut wall mosaic tiles in the kitchen and the bathrooms, to restore it back to its Moorish past, with the addition of modern confort and careful insulation. Rooms are distributed over 4 staggered levels, giving possibilities to divide it into small appartments or leaving it as the grand, magical house that it is. Small patio give light to some of the back rooms. From the terrace there are stunning mountain views all the way down to the coast.
